MUSICAL WORKSHOPS FOR BABIES TO 5 YEARS
DEVELOP YOUR CHILD’S MUSICAL, COGNITIVE, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS
Workshops for Babies
Designed to get those tiny muscles moving and those curious minds grooving. Like a Yoga workout class but with all sorts of visual and sensory props. Think colourful scarves, glow toys and jangly toys that help your mini-me develop core strength and co-ordination.
Workshops for Crawlers-Toddlers
Music and activities to strengthen fine / motor skills and co-ordination as your little one starts to find their balance and feet! An introduction to music using instruments, props, rhymes and stories which all aid in memory skills.
Workshops for Pre-schoolers
As the children get older, we start preparing them for school, teaching them the fine art of sharing, taking turns and other social and community skills. We also help build their confidence as they start to problem solve, navigate groups, make friends and become increasingly independent.
Workshops further develop musicality strengthening through repetition, memory and recall - some of the key disciplines of becoming a musician and some children may choose to play a musical instrument at school.
In addition, each week, includes an outside-the-box adventure with worksheet activities that sneak in some extra learning linking with the workshop theme. It’s all aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) because we like to keep things official and educational, even while we’re having a blast.
More about the Workshops
In my classes, you’ll find an eclectic playlist from classical to jazz to pop and beyond. We use all sorts of props to sneak in some fine motor skill development, like wind-up toys that are perfect for building finger dexterity. Every activity is designed to be fun first and educational second, giving kids what they want and what they need, without them even realizing it.
Tiny Train Tunes is my own little engine – it’s not a franchise – which means I tailor each workshop to the unique group of kids in front of me.
Parents are expected to join in, spending the time developing their bond with their child in the nurturing environment. It also gives you the chance to gain support and connect with other parents.
A Workout for the Brain
Classes also work on cognitive stimulation and development (as well as being physical). Though use of touch, hearing, motion and vision, problem-solving activities, and emotional responses through music. Workshops are designed to get right and left brain working together and start to make those important links.
You may find your little one is quite tired at the end of the session, as they have been stimulated physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially! Classes are set at 30 minutes to get the optimum success!
